Youth Group

Schedule

YOUTH GROUP IS POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

We meet on the second and fourth Sundays of each month from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the 2nd floor school building.

All are welcomed! Come, check out what the fun's about!

The OLP Youth Group was established as a ministry in September 2010 for the youth of our parish and neighborhood to gather, grow in faith and support not only the parish but also each other.

It is our goal to provide a rich faith-based environment where youth can come and enjoy each other's company, provide assistance to the church community and enjoy fun events.

As a ministry, we provide the parish with assistance at various events; Annual holiday decorating and cleanup, Car Show, and most recently updated the annual Missalettes. We have a few fundraisers such as the annual Father's Day Car Wash, Candy Sale and most recently a "Krispy Kreme" Donut sales which was extremely successful. These fundraisers allow us to sponsor trips for the youth to enjoy as a group such as snow tubing, water tubing, Great Adventure, in-depth visit to St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC, Living Stations in Cherry Hill, NJ, theater trips such as Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat and many more at little to no charge to the Youth Group members.

It is our goal to provide our youth with a place in which both parents and kids are comfortable and feel safe. As a parent, you can be assured that your children are in a safe environment with the supervision of adult advisors who have been approved by parish leaders. All Youth Group advisors must go through a background check. We must attend a training class, become certified and continue training through the year by diocese of Metuchen via the National Catholic Risk Retention Group, Inc.; VIRTUS online.

For the you adults in our Youth Group, we strive to provide an environment they want to come to and feel a sense of belonging; NO judgement. They can "hang out" with friends, make new friends, bring a friend from outside the parish, study, and discuss the faith.

We meet on the second and fourth Sundays of each month and two advisors at a minimum are always there to supervise.

We look forward to meeting yo and your children.
